China’s Overall Vehicle Fleet Increased 14% in 2013, Used Sales Up



Ministry of Public Security of China is reporting that china's vehicle fleet expanded 14 percent last year from 2012, 137 million cehicles. In last ten years vehicle population of china has increased by 570%. Total inclides 2.5 million buses, 20.2 million trucks and 14.4 microvans. Remaining 100 million vehicles are sedans, multipurpose vehicles and SUVs,
Thirty one chinese cities have vehicle fleets exceeding 1 million vehicles and eight municipalities have more then 2 million cars and trucks registerd: Beijing, Tianjin, Chengdu, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Suzhou and Hangzhou.
At the same time, the China Automobile Dealers Association reports that sales of used cars, trucks and buses in China went up 9% last year from 2012, to 5.2 million units. Sales of used sedans were up 12% while sales of used SUVs were up a whopping 50%. Sales of used commercial trucks and buses were up only slightly.
